Stage & Story Workshop - Sold out!

I've always wanted to take part in Francis Schaeffer's L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland. What could be better than time in the Swiss Alps dialoguing with fellow thinkers and artists about philosophy, the arts, and the Christian faith!?

Mentorship

I can see mentorship taking place in an environment like this--something we're eager to cultivate at Stage & Story. So, while I can't fly my friends to the Alps of Switzerland (or one of the other L'Abri locations), I can invite them to my home in the Mountains of Lake Arrowhead, CA.

Over the last few months, the Stage & Story team has been working diligently to prepare for this Saturday's series of workshops on film, acting, and the Christian Worldview.

It's our first series of workshops in my home -- affectionately named "Camp Bundy" -- and we're completely sold out. We're blessed to have a wide variety of individuals attending -- from a pastor to a music teacher to an inspiring filmmaker to plenty of gifted actors and students.

The Sessions

This is the plan for the day.

I'll open the event speaking on the aim of the Christian artist. The title is "The Artist as Poet and Priest." A recording of my talk will be made available.

JT Wynn will lead an interactive session on how to film a basic dialogue scene, demonstrating that you can tell a great story on film without spending a lot of money.

John Jimenez, an alumni of the improv and sketch comedy group The Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), will lead a number of sessions on improv. I've worked with John on a number of occasions -- including workshops in Kentucky and Tennessee -- and he's one of the best instructors I've ever served alongside.

Go Before Us?

I, and my team, would greatly appreciate your prayers for Camp Bundy, as more than anything we desire to see the Christian imagination cultivated, something we think honors Christ greatly.

Thank you!

In Christ,

Dane M. Bundy
